Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is passionate about providing high-quality care to children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with pediatric specialists, including psychologists, pediatricians, and dietitians, to deliver holistic and individualized patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication skills in children and adolescents
  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders, including but not limited to articulation, phonology, fluency, and social communication.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare providers, including pediatricians, psychologists, and educators, to create integrated care plans.
  • Family and Caregiver Education: Provide families and caregivers with guidance and resources to support language development and communication at home.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with CASLPO standards and organization policies.
  • Ongoing Professional Development: Engage in continuing education to stay updated on best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones, communication disorders, and pediatric assessment tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care.
