Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our pediatric urgent care team, operating across multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In this role, you will conduct comprehensive psycho-neurological assessments to diagnose and assess a range of pediatric psychological and developmental conditions, including suspected autism, learning disabilities, psychoeducational needs, and other mental health concerns. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists to deliver holistic and impactful care to children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough psycho-neurological and psychoeducational assessments to evaluate and diagnose conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and other pediatric psychological conditions.
- Collaborative Care: Work within a multi-disciplinary team that includes pediatricians, pediatric psychiatrists, speech pathologists, registered psychotherapists, psychometrists, and ABA therapists to provide integrated care.
- Treatment Planning and Recommendations: Develop tailored treatment plans and provide recommendations to support each child’s developmental, emotional, and educational needs.
- Family Education and Support: Provide guidance and resources to families to help them understand and support their child’s psychological needs.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Professional Development: Stay informed on the latest advancements in pediatric psychology and participate in ongoing training as required.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
- Specialized experience in pediatric psychology, with a strong foundation in conducting psycho-neurological and psychoeducational assessments.
- Proficiency in diagnosing autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, and other childhood psychological conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with children, families, and team members.
